My Work Experience

Cencosud SA - Financial Retail (2008 - present)

I worked in the software development team of the Financial Retail area since the beginning of the project, and in 2017 I took on responsibility for the business technology platforms.

Together with my team, we develop and maintain the company’s financial ecosystem, digitizing a business with more than 2 million customers, specialized in credit card processing and a wide range of complementary Fintech products: digital accounts, personal and consumer loans, prepaid cards, and insurance.

Among the most relevant projects we lead are:

  • The origination process (in-person and digital) with online credit assessment in the open market, biometric validation (face and fingerprint), electronic contract, instant issuance, and Mastercard EMV card embossing in-store.
  • A mobile wallet + homebanking app that enables portfolio self-management, incorporating features such as QR payments, transfers, bill payments, recharges, investments, and more than 60 complementary functionalities.
  • A payment gateway for e-commerce platforms that processes electronic payments and combats fraud in non-face-to-face transactions. We integrated multiple acquirers, anti-fraud tools, and biometric validations to reduce risks and maximize approval rates.

Cencosud SA - ECommerce (2024 - present)

In 2024, I added the leadership of the ECommerce, Customers, and Loyalty team to my responsibilities.

In an ambitious project aiming to profoundly transform the company’s e-commerce systems, we work with the regional and local teams to provide our customers with a digital platform worthy of a leading corporation.

From pre-sales processes to fulfillment platforms, we cover each stage: web front and apps, checkout, payment gateway, and personalization of experiences

The objective: a robust digital experience, customer-centered and ready to grow at the pace of the company

My Beginnings

I started my professional career as a software developer (and I still am).

I worked at Banco Santander, in the internal applications development area, building back-office systems for personal banking and corporate teams using Java and Oracle technology stack.

I coordinated a development team for Indra Argentina and developed projects for the national government and South American cosmetic companies, during which we pursued a CMMI level 5 certification.

Finally, I worked as a technical and project lead at Soluciones Tecnológicas de la Información in several projects for financial institutions such as Banco Meridian, developing processes and products using the Engage tool.
